Actions for funding

Act Church of Sweden has several funding sources. Both within the organisation itself and through institutions and partnerships

Donations from the Swedish public and congregations are an important source of revenue. This can be seen as a sign of engagement between the public and the Church. Donations from the public are received through fundraising campaigns where the congregations have an important role.

Institutional donors

Furthermore, the Act Church of Sweden has framework agreements with Sida which is Sweden’s government agency for development cooperation, as well as Radiohjälpen which is a self-governing foundation within the Swedish public service broadcasting group and the European Union. These framework agreements are periodically applied for and renewed.

Actions for funding

It takes a lot of action to receive our fundings. This is something that we work with continuously on an everyday basis. For us to receive funding from our institutional donors, congregations and private donors, we need to receive reports from you. With that said, funding works like a cycle. Your reports form the basis for our reports and inform and inspire our donors.

To diversify the donor-base and types of funding. Today we have on-going contracts with Europaid and there are projects financed by Swedish Embassies in different countries.
