Someone to talk to
We are here for you if you want someone to talk to about life issues, relationships, faith and identity.
We offer free counselling and advice, that is confidential. Our staff is available in crisis situations, and we are part of the University’s crisis team.
If you are looking for a community and a context to live in or a choir to join you are more than welcome to contact us!

Worship service
We also have a worship service: (almost) every Sunday the first of the month at 7 pm at the church in Haga, we offer a mass inspired by Taizé, characterized by meditative songs and prayers framed by silence and lit candles.
Sunday evening Taizé mass
If you are looking for a worship service in English we can recommend the Thursday evening mass at the cathedral (Domkyrkan). The mass at 6 pm is celebrated in English and Swedish (sermon in English but some of the songs in Swedish).

About us
The University Chaplaincy is not a physical place but is present at almost every college and university in Sweden.
Gothenburg University Chaplaincy is an ecumenical service. We have good relations and collaborate with other churches in Gothenburg and Sweden.
If you want to get in touch with representatives of other faith, we are also very happy to help you.
Our aim is to create different meeting places and arrangements under our own auspices or in collaboration with universities, students associations and other organizations.
