In the autumn of 2017, UNESCO declared the Dag Hammarskjöld collection at the Royal Library of Sweden in Stockholm a Memory of the World. Kultursamverkan wants to take special responsibility so that the unique with Dag Hammarskjöld, his holistic view of life where mysticism and politics constituted one entirety, is not to be forgotten. In this ambition Markings plays the central role, both the knowledge and insight of what it contains and the ability to learn and actively open up to the engaged spirituality which was Dag Hammarskjöld’s unique signum.
The introduction of The Way Chose You took place at a seminar during the Gothenburg Book Fair on September 29, 2018, and the book was then distributed at the Book Fair.
The Swedish version of The Way Chose You has been distributed to the members of the Swedish parliament, to the participants of the Church Assembly and at Voksenåsen in Oslo in connection with a speech by KG Hammar during the United Nations Day. The book is also sent to libraries, to dioceses and so forth. The edition is limited and the book will not be for sale. The English version, The Way Chose You, is also edited in a limited edition and will be given to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the members of the Security Council.
