ADAMAH - a photo exhibition

3-26:th of May you can visit the chapel of Stiftsgården in Skellefteå and the photo exhibition ADAMAH - Nine images of LGBTQ+ people who embody the vocabulary of sacred texts with their bodies with words from the Bible and the hymnal written on bare skin, the body and the letters are in focus.

The photo exhibition is compiled by Petra Guteskär, priest responsible for the project, Sofi Ogestad, theology student and Pia Tofténius, cathedral pedagogue, photographed by Anna Sundström for the Visby Cathedral congregation in collaboration with the University Church Uppsala Campus Gotland.

We use the Bible's rich metaphors and theological interpretations to emphasize aspects of everyone's equal value. In Sweden, we have succeeded in emphasizing the limits of humanity and including more people to be treated with dignity and representation in the public space. "
