The Statue
Here, we are invited to reflect on the battle between good and
evil. The battle that takes place in the world around us and the
one that happens within us. We are invited to think about how
we can contribute to the fight against the evil we witness in our
time.
1. How can we collectively contribute to
a better world for more people?
2. How can you uphold the sanctity of life in your daily life?
3. Try to concretize your thoughts and let
them become prayer and action.
For the sake of life, God became a child, one of us.
For the sake of life, He gave His life for us.
For the sake of life, the kingdom of justice shall be revealed
through us – for the sake of life.
– Swedish Hymn 886
About this sacred place:
The battle against evil is portrayed through “Revelation 12:7,” a piece created
from a tree trunk/root in one solid piece, carved entirely with a chainsaw. The
artist, Sebastian Rubach, drew inspiration from the Book of Revelation, where
a war in heaven is described between Michael and his angels and the Dragon/
Devil. One day says the bible, the story will continue and evil will meet its
ultimate defeat.
