Conference on the history of Church of Sweden mission

South based perspectives on Church of Sweden Mission: Post-colonial church relations, with mission history as a backdrop.

The purpose of the conference is to critically look upon the experiences of the activities of Church of Sweden Mission. We will also constructively engage in a conversation about present and future post-colonial church relations, with the mission history as a backdrop.

The conference is organised in cooperation with the Unit of Research and Analysis at Church of Sweden Central Church Office and the Department of Theology at Uppsala University. Attending the conference both in-person and digitally is possible.
